BIOGRAPHY
AMBER TISUE
I make strange and beautiful sounds for a living. I specialize in the cinematic, the avant-garde, the experimental and other-worldly. I create filmic soundscapes that evoke emotion, demand attention, and captivate the listener.

I've been in the industry for over 20 years, living and working in San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles and now permanently remotely. I hold a B.A. in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts with a specialization in Sound Design and Audio Production. I began my career assisting Green Day, Bonnie Raitt and Carlos Santana in the recording studio before discovering my love for Sound Design, UX Sound Design and Mix.

Whether I'm working on music videos for artists such as Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar, creating music cues and character effects for Lady Gaga's "Enigma" Las Vegas Show, mixing multiple Super Bowl ads, Blockbuster Film Trailers, sound designing major Commercial Campaigns for clients like Coca-Cola, or creating soundscapes for Films and Museum Installations, I truly care about every project I put my ears to.

Currently, I'm full-time at Google, designing UX Sound for cross-functional experiences, devices, teams and platform ecosystems, and making a difference in people's lives through integrating sound into wellness and health.
​
In my free time I also sing, compose music and release albums from time to time. Recently, I've ventured into studying Cymatics and the resonance of sacred sonic frequencies and how to use them therapeutically in healing the body and mind.​
